Clinic FAQs

Yes, MyAccess Clinics operates within the legal framework of the UK, where medical cannabis is legal. It can be prescribed as a ‘Special’ under the guidance of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), by doctors listed on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register.

At MyAccess Clinics, individuals may qualify for medical cannabis prescriptions for conditions like chronic pain, gastrointestinal issues, mental health conditions, and sleep disorders. However, to be eligible, you must have attempted at least two other treatments without success. Although a referral from a GP or an NHS specialist can be beneficial, it’s not mandatory. Following an initial consultation, patients are required to have follow-up appointments for optimal treatment planning and regular reviews of the prescription

I just go out of my access clinic. I usually don’t write reviews unless i have something positive to say, but the ridiculousness that Ive been through over the last few months made this review a necessity.

Wait time. What the hell. I think i spent more time waiting than i did actually using the prescriptions. I know that healthcare can be slow at times but this was just unacceptable.

The severely limited options of strains and oil was super disappointing

Patient Service
Rated 1 out of 5

very poor service, have to call multiple times, sometimes on hold for more than 30 mins. They don’t seem to care

Website Experience

nothing wrong with the website but its not very good either.

Facilities
Rated 1 out of 5

Im going to include the pharmacy they use in the facilities since they blame them for all the waits.

Communication
Rated 1 out of 5

did i mention how hard it is to get through to them when things go wrong?

Pretty solid. The team knows their stuff and they take good care of you. But yeah, waiting for meds can feel a bit long. Not a huge deal for me, but something to keep in mind.

Patient Service
Rated 5 out of 5

The staff at MAC are respectful, kind, and efficient. You get the help you need without any unnecessary fluff which was exactly what i was looking for.

Website Experience
Rated 3 out of 5

The website’s okay – not the best, not the worst. Could use some tweaks to make finding stuff a bit easier. It’s got all the info you need, just requires a bit of patience to navigate.

Facilities
Rated 3 out of 5

I’ve mostly interacted online, so can’t say much about the physical clinic. The pharmacy they use though – let’s just say they could be quicker. It’s a bit of a hit or miss but mostly does the job.

Communication
Rated 4 out of 5

Communication’s decent but not great. Had a few hiccups with delayed meds, but whenever I reached out, they were quick to respond but slow to sort things out.

Billing Transparency
Rated 5 out of 5

No nasty surprises with the bills. Everything’s upfront and clear.

Waiting Times
Rated 3 out of 5

Consultations are quick and easy, but the wait for meds drags the score down. If they could speed that up, it’d make a big difference.

Quality of Medical Care

The medical care has overall been pretty good, but there have been long waiting times. Not the biggest issue for me personally, as I have been able to be seen in a timely manner, but have also had to wait more than expected for my meds to arrive via post.

Patient Service
Rated 5 out of 5

I have always been treated with respect and kindness by the staff at MAC. The staff are professional and courteous, without being overly friendly which is actually quite refreshing. I want quick turnarounds for calls and consultations, and that is exactly what I have got.

Website Experience
Rated 3 out of 5

Not the best website I have ever tried to navigate, but no where near the worst either.

Facilities
Rated 4 out of 5

No idea really, all my contact with the clinic has been online. The pharmacy they use has definitely taken the piss once or twice, but that’s a separate issue i guess.

Communication
Rated 4 out of 5

There have been times when my meds haven’t arrived when they were supposed to, but I was able to get through to the clinic quickly enough and they sorted it out for me within a week. I was happy with the communication

Billing Transparency
Rated 5 out of 5

No hidden fees or unepxted charges so far

Waiting Times
Rated 3 out of 5

The wait times on consultatons has been absolutely fine, its the wait on the meds that is the reason for my 3 star rating here.
