Sign Up Process

Alternaleaf’s signup process is quite well laid out and easy to work through, although the number of clicks that need to be made to reach the end of the process is a little more than some of the other top UK medical cannabis clinics.

You will first be asked to answer a series of medical history related questions, then be asked to provide a copy of your SCR (medical records) if you have them available, and if everything is in order, you will be told whether you are eligible or ineligible to continue. If you are eligible for an initial consult with Alternaleaf, you will then be required to answer a few questions relating to your personal details (including your name, phone number, date of birth, address, etc.).

Once this is done, you will be prompted to book one of the available consult slots, and that’s it, all done.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a medical cannabis prescription, patients must have first tried two licenced medicines, treatments or therapies for their condition, as prescribed by a GP or healthcare professional.

You have received a formal diagnosis.
You've been prescribed medication or therapy for this before.
You've never been diagnosed with psychosis.

Consistently poor communication, unresponsive, not patient centred. This team either needs to be changed or to be given rigorous training in customer service and support to develop a culture which puts the patient first.

There was a patient portal but it was taken down after I joined, so all appointments and communication have to be managed by email or phone, which is very frustrating in this digital age.

Right from the start they were unsure as to whether they had received the payments I made. Something must be awry with their financial management system, which really concerned me, hence I decided to leave after two months.

I was kept waiting for 20 minutes before the doctor came online for my initial assessment. He then complained that my medical notes were so lengthy he had needed more time to go through them, but he made no attempt to communicte this to me at the time of the appointment.

I really wish I had nicer things to say about Alternaleaf, especially when I have heard so many positive stories from other patients. But, unfortunately, I cannae say the same thing. Long delays, rude staff, no accountability, and terrible level of communication.

It took a week for my initial appointment to happen after signing up, then they sent me a notification for my follow up only 6 hours before I was supposed to have it, ensuring I missed it entirely and then blamed me.

Ill be changing to another clinic asap

You seem to get left in the dark at every point with alternaleaf once they have your sign up money. Prices of medical flower are super expensive compared to the streets prices

very little choice of affordable flower medication too. Doc was dismissive of my conserns
