Highly concerning practice, they sell prescription medication that has 2 days left until expiry and don’t offer a refund.

Patient Service

Customer service is TERRIBLE! Kay from customer services advices me not to touch the product after the expiry date and to not use more than 20% of the product so I can get a refund. I had correspondence with Deborah on the day of delivery for her then not to reply for 3 days (which let the product exceed the expiry date) for her to tell me there’s nothing they can do.

They are more than quick enough to take your money for signing up however absolutely useless when it comes to giving it back.

Communication

One of the worst customer service I’ve ever had to experienced. I was told a manager would be contacting me 2 weeks ago however they are quick enough to contact you when you leave a review.

Billing Transparency
Rated 1.0 out of 5

They find it okay practice to sell out of date prescription medication and their excuse is I’ve paid for it so it’s my fault. Every other invoice I’ve had has never had a date even though the prescription I’ve had in the past has 2 weeks left till expiry however never was it put on the invoice however they think it’s okay to give you medication with 2 days left.

Struggle getting through to the right people when you have a problem. Not one of them could care less about your issues you are having with them.

The video call app is poor and you can’t understand any of the doctors.

In my opinion also they don’t seem the most helpful in answering questions.

I once had a consultation whilst the doctor sat out in a cafe/bar which I did find very unprofessional,

Like I said the doctor was at a cafe/bar whilst conducting my appointment which I find to be a breach of data protection and very unprofessional when it is so costly.

I’ve never had a problem booking appointments.

My appointment has been forgot about by the staff though leaving me with two days holiday from work instead of one to receive my appointment

The doctors at Mamedica are always amazing. Consultations have been positive, and the scheme for people on benefits or disability is a good idea. It is set up as a one-off payment, although there are some caveats.

Patient Service
Rated 3.0 out of 5

Staff are friendly and polite, and the sign-up process was straightforward. There have been some issues though. At times the team have given different explanations for the same problem, such as why certain products were not stocked

Website Experience
Rated 5.0 out of 5

The new patient portal is a lot better than the old one and easy enough to use. I also really like that they include Boveda humidity packs with every order.

Communication
Rated 3.0 out of 5

The team are polite, but at times the information is not consistent. It makes it difficult to know what is accurate when one member of staff says one thing and another says something completely different.

Billing Transparency
Rated 1.0 out of 5

This is where I have had the most frustration. I was charged £10 for a split delivery when I should not have been. Instead of a refund, I only received credit for my next order. If you want your prescription sent to another pharmacy, that is another £10 fee, even though it is the same medication. I had been told the only extra fee would be for split deliveries, so that did not feel fair.

Waiting Times
Rated 1.0 out of 5

Ordering itself is usually quick and straightforward. The problem has been when prescriptions are sent to other pharmacies. I have had to wait up to two weeks because the pharmacy said they were still waiting on Mamedica to send the prescription or the shared care plan.
